As part of Ushiriki Wema Foundation’s commitment to clean energy and youth empowerment, we presented Briquetting Machines and Load Carbonizing Kilns to youth groups. This initiative was implemented in partnership with the Mudavadi Memorial Foundation Trust Fund and Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TiKA) .
The equipment converts organic waste like market refuse, dry leaves, crop residues, and invasive weeds into clean, affordable briquettes. Briquettes are known to burn more efficiently than traditional firewood or charcoal and produce less smoke and ash. Using briquettes as an alternative energy source thus help reduce deforestation and improve indoor air quality.
